Cookie and Local Storage Policy
1. The short answer
The golfactive.eu website uses no cookies. There is no analytics, no visitor statistics, no marketing pixels, no social plugins and no third-party scripts. That is why there is no consent banner — there would be nothing to accept.
The Golf Active app uses no cookies either. It does use browser local storage (localStorage) and an offline cache, so that it remembers your settings and your round in progress and works without a signal. Those entries are strictly necessary for the functions you are asking for, so the law does not require consent — but it does require information, and that is what this document provides.

We deliberately apply the stricter reading: we treat localStorage and the Service Worker cache exactly as we would treat cookies, even though they are not cookies. The "strictly necessary" assessment is nonetheless clear-cut: without these entries there is no offline mode and no round recording, and those are precisely why a player opens the app on a course with no signal.

The website is a set of static files. The only thing generated when you visit is the standard hosting log described in the Privacy Policy, section 4.1.
4. The Golf Active app — full inventory

None of these entries contains a user, device or session identifier. None is read by us or by anyone other than the app running in your own browser.

4.3. Device permissions

Your GPS position is never stored — it exists in working memory only while the app is open.
5. What is absent, and what would change it
If we ever added analytics, statistics or any mechanism identifying a device, it would require prior, freely given, unambiguous consent obtained before anything is stored — meaning a banner offering a genuine choice, where refusing is as easy as accepting, plus an update to this document announced 14 days in advance. Until then, no such mechanism is running.
6. How to delete stored data
Simplest route — clear site data:

If you added the app to your home screen, delete it like any other app; that removes its data as well.
Withdrawing location permission: padlock or "i" icon next to the address → Permissions → Location → Block (or via your phone's system settings, under browser permissions).
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. We hold no copy and cannot restore it — not even at your request.
